Kering, the global luxury group that owns brands such as Gucci and Saint Laurent, launched Women In Motion in 2015 as an official partner of the Cannes Film Festival to highlight women making significant contributions to the world of arts and culture. This year, the program celebrates its 10th anniversary.
This year marks the fifth time the Talk has been held as part of the Tokyo International Film Festival’s official program, featuring actor Takahata Mitsuki, actor and artist Nakajima Kento, casting director Debra Zane, and producer Fukuma Miyuki. Preceding the talk will be a special screening of the documentary Casting By (2012), which explores the importance and history of the profession through the career of legendary casting director Marion Dougherty, followed by an opening address from filmmaker Kore-eda Hirokazu.
